I recently went to Nairobi, Africa on a mission trip with our local church group. We helped to build six classrooms in an SDA school called Imara Diama Adventist Academy. We also set up a medical and dental tent, and helped nearly 1,000 locals get the attention they desperately deserved, including saving the life of a young girl who had an irregular heartbeat. Come to find out she needed immediate heart surgery. We paid for a medical examination and got her qualified for a surgery that will save her life. I was very blessed to be a part of a team that planted hope in a neighborhood that truly needed it. It was a humbling experience to help out the needy and bring light to a dark neighborhood.
